and as i mentioned..
i went to queue for DONUT FACTORY!
i never imagine myself in the queue man. cause the first time when i saw that string of people queuing for some sweet circle thingy, i thought they were crazy!
let me explain myself! cause firstly, Tim wanted to go try it, and since its been a big who-ha in SG, even included in STB's Uniquely Singapore Itinerary.. i was really curious whats SO good abt their donut that made ppl willing to queue for hours for it. not 1 or 2 hours ppl.. i queued for almost 4. its 3.5hrs to make it right.
my verdict
- it taste more like bread than donut (Amy said so)
- its for the really sweet tongues
- its nice but not worth queuing for 3.5 hours
- best when slightly warm
- staff is friendly
- attractive enough
- the variety they have
- cheap a dozen (a box) for $11 for assorted flavours
its limited to 2 boxes per person, but i managed to ask Huiyee's friend for help, so i went home with 44 donuts! 4boxes. heh. 2 boxes for my mom's side, 1 box for my dad's side, 1 box for my family. in total me, Tim and Huiyee grabbed 10boxes. which makes up to 120 donuts!
though i kinda wasted my sunday off, but i cure many's curiosity. my mom's side relatives tried and enjoyed them very much. they went "ohhh this donut.. wahh finally get to try!" so 1 person's effort paid for abt 20 other's curiosity and "satisfy-ness" ops, there isn't sucha word huh?
its pretty good i must say! though i heard alot of negative comments on how lousy it was. its not exactly lousy. perhaps too sweet for my liking.. but i still enjoy the different flavours and soft texture. no harm queuing! ;p
and a drink to recommend to chocolate lovers!
GODIVA's dark choc drink - $8. not too bad..
